NOAA oil spill maps UPDATE: BP oil leak projections for Tampa, St. Petersburg, Florida Keys, Miami.

Yesterday I read an article on mashable.com about how people seem to be disinterested in this spill and are moving away from talking about it.

Unfortunately those of us who sell and list homes are not moving away from it, and we face it everyday.

The article above is only a projection, I get that, but if you were on the beaches of St Pete or Clearwater over the July 4th weekend you would be talking about how beautiful and clean they are and crowded.

Could we see oil spill problems here, certainly, but our chances are a lot lower than in other areas for which I am deeply sorry and sad.

I love our beaches.  I admit I am not a salt water swimmer.  I admit I like pools better and prefer no creatures in the water,  but I have lived with tar balls before.  I have cleaned them up from other disasters and I will again.  I am not afraid to walk our beaches.  I am not concerned about living on the water here.

This is Florida, the sunshine state, where everyday can be spent living in a sunshine state of mind.
